+ gallery and Erico Motorsports present an "Unveiling" this Friday, September 30
+ gallery has teamed up with Erico Motorsports, Project Pave and artist Colin Livingston for a unique collaboration to serve a good cause, and we invite you to participate. 1ST: Livingston has customized a Vespa LX50 motor scooter from Erico Motorsports with a painting that reflects his highly lauded post-pop painting style. The scooter will be unveiled at a special party here at + gallery on Friday, September 30th from 6-8pm. Come meet Colin and mingle with your hosts from Erico and Pave to find out more about this program. The scooter will be auctioned off to support Project PAVE at their "Secret Chef's Dinner" on a later date.....Project PAVE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth to end the cycle of relationship violence. Relationship violence is emotional, sexual or physical violence experienced within a family or interpersonal relationship. Our goal is to stop the generational cycle of this violence by teaching youth positive social skills and counseling children and youth who have experienced such violence......AND........The evening will also serve as an exclusive look at a new body of work that Livingston has produced for the exhibition "Storefront" at The Firehouse Gallery in Burlington, Vermont. This curatorial effort features national artists who utilize commercial advertising strategies in an attempt to critique and compete with other forms of visual culture. Livingston is the perfect fit, and we are proud to have his talents stretch across the country for this effort, on view from November 18th to December 18th. The event on September 30th will be your ONLY CHANCE to view this new body of work before it heads to Vermont, and will serve as a great sendoff for one of Denver's most thoughtful and talented painters.
