+gallery presents new exhibitions by three top Denver artists

+ gallery presents an exhibition that brings three of Denver's most talented artists to the gallery. John McEnroe returns after thrilling audiences two years ago in "This Year's Model," an exhibition that presented the artists prototypes for his massive Colorado Convention Center commission, and established the gallery's reputation as the most progressive venue for artwork in the region. This time around, McEnroe presents "Upshot," his first solo show at the gallery and the artist's ingenious foray into painting. The exhibition will also reveal new sculptural works infused with the John's continuing penchant for readapting consumer products into works of art. McEnroe is joined by a pair of contemporary realist painters debuting at the gallery with "First Person, Future Tense." Jenny Morgan is an emerging talent who's quickly become one of the galleries top movers. Morgan's talents were revealed to Gilbert and Ivar when she served at age 20 as the gallery's first intern in February of 2003. It is not prototypical to subsequently represent interns , but Morgan proved with her first unveiling at the RMCAD student show that she was not only a natural talent, but dedicated to her craft, and hugely ambitious with mature ideas that belied her age. The gallery has discovered in her an emerging artist largely unparalleled in her artistic determination. Peter Illig is no stranger to acclaim in the genre, having exhibited consistently in Denver for almost a decade with his own brand of contemporary realism that brings diverse, recognizable elements together into a puzzle that will challenge the viewer's mental, visual and memory skills. UPSHOT and FIRST PERSON, FUTURE TENSE will be open for viewing from MAY 21st through JUNE 25th.
