Aspen Shortsfests Program Now Online

Filmmakers from around the world will gather in Aspen, Colorado from April 6 – 10 for the 14th edition of Aspen Shortsfest at the Wheeler Opera House and other locations in Aspen, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs. The festival program is now online at http://www.aspenfilm.org, including information about all of the Lounge Events. Don't forget that the Aspen Shortsfest is offering young filmmakers between the ages of 15 and 18 the opportunity to spend a film-packed evening with award-winning director and film educator Adam Collis as he covers everything from the basics of camera work to developing an artistic vision. The sessions start with a critique session of students' video works-in-progress, followed by viewing of the 5:30 competition program of shorts at the Wheeler Opera House. The evening wraps up back in the Festival Lounge with Adam and some of the filmmakers whose films screened in the program for a round-table discussion. The clinics will be held Wed, April 6 and Thurs, April 7 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday April 8, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm (no critique session), and on Saturday beginning at 11 am. Young Filmmaker Clinics are free, and students can sign up for one or more sessions.
