LENKA KONOPASEK HONORED IN RECENT EXHIBITION

+ gallery artist Lenka Konopasek recently received a Jurors Award and Travel Exhibition Award for her latest "Rodeo" paintings at "Utah '05: Painting and Sculpture", an annual statewide exhibition sponsored by the Utah Arts Council, presented in the Shaw Gallery at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. The jurors for this exhibition are Gregory Sale of the Arizona Arts Commission and Kate Wagle, the Head of the Department of Art at the University of Oregon. The jurors comments in the exhibition catalog state "Lenka Konopasek's paintings "Five Falls" blends the western cultural phenomenon of rodeo with the light and forms of photography and the time-based conventions of film, placing it squarely in a present that both questions and embraces all of these delivery systems."
