MAYOR'S OFFICE TO SPONSOR CREATIVE SPACES COMMUNITY FORUM TUESDAY, JAN. 24th

The Denver Office of Cultural Affairs invites everyone in the creative community to join in a special forum on Tuesday, January 24th from 4-6pm at the Walnut Foundry (3002 Walnut Street). If you are an artist, gallery owner, musician, filmmaker, performing artist, theatre company, neighborhood representative or creative individual, this is your chance to have a voice, and participate in a discussion that is part of the Mayor's "Create Denver" project. The focus is on the future prospects of affordable and available creative space in the city, with the goal of creating new initiatives that will help to guide the further progressive development of Denver as a welcoming, stable city for the arts and artists. The discussion will be facilitated by local civic leader and all-around great guy Johnny Klein, who has spent tremendous time and energy recently in progressing several neighborhood initiatives for the betterment of the community and the arts. Round table discussions will ensue with members of the Creative Spaces Task Force, including + gallery owner Ivar Zeile. Remember, this is your chance to make a difference!
