JEFF STRAHL FEATURED ON FRONTIER AIRLINES ART-SPOT and GABRIEL LISTON COVER STORY!

People / Place photographer Jeff Strahl is currently being featured on all Frontier Airline flights in-flight view-screens with a brief view of his recent Europium series.  Congratulations to Jeff, and a big thanks to Frontier for promoting contemporary art from Denver to their clientele.  There is only one week left to view Jeff's stunning work, as well as the rest of the progressive photography in this most-excellent exhibition.

The artwork of + gallery artist Gabriel Liston will be published on the cover of a new book, "Lessons in Taxidermy" by Bee Lavender, out next year on Punk Planet Books  (http://akashicbooks.com/lessonsintaxidermy.htm).  "Lessons in Taxidermy" is a riveting tale of sickness and survival from the first female author on the Punk Planet Books imprint.  It is the autobiographical tale of growing up destitute and sick in the Pacific Northwest. After surviving a rare genetic disorder and childhood cancer, Lavender retells the events of her tumultuous life--battling her illnesses, learning to fight, young motherhood--in fearless, unapologetic prose and gut-wrenching, yet darkly comic, detail.  Liston's "Blue Tile" series was a hit during our May/June exhibition this year.....the gallery still has a few of these well priced tiles available, which make great gifts for the holidays.
