Ivar Zeile Selected for Appointment to Mayors Commission On Cultural Affairs

We were pleased to learn this week that + gallery owner Ivar Zeile has been selected by Mayor John Hickenlooper for appointment to the Denver Commission on Cultural Affairs. Confirmation by the Denver City Council is to take place in the next 4-6 weeks, with the position commencing early in 2006. Zeile is looking forward to providing a voice for the arts, and participating on the commission in a year that should be tremendously exciting for the arts community..........The Mayors office also released the official news last week that Denise Montgomery, director of the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs, will be leaving her post early in the new year. Denise will be moving to SanDiego California to join her fiance and take a position at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. We wish Denise the best of luck and applaud the tremendous job she did for the cultural community here in Denver.
