Major praise arrives for current Price exhibition

Denver artist Bruce Price has long been at the top of our list of extremely talented local artists ready to break out to a wider audience. His last exhibition "Fill" was recognized as one of the best exhibitions of the year by local critics, and though it was spectacular in every way, it couldn't possibly have foretold the caliber and quality of the new works in the current exhibition "Full." Price has always taken an intellectual approach to his work and had a sensible understanding of his climb within the contemporary art world. His efforts in the last year show an invigorated artist who has finally moved past his influences and found a voice that is thoroughly compelling, dramatic and original...........The first praise of this new body of work outside of the gallery and patrons who've aleady viewed the exhibition comes from Westword critic Michael Paglia, who hails it as " one of the best shows of the 2005-2006 season." Rocky Mountain News Critic Mary Voelz Chandler continues in today's edition with "The exuberance of the work in FULL cannot be minimized, nor the obvious growth of the artist.".............The Westword review can be found online at http://www.westword.com/Issues/2005-09-15/culture/art.html..........The Rocky Mountain News review can be found online at http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/entertainment_columnists/article/0,1299,DRMN_84_4083466,00.html
